On 11 July, the Soka Volunteers Group (SVG) held an online meeting with some 100 members in attendance.
On 17 January 2020, our Soka Volunteers Group members brought our SPD beneficiaries on an outing to the Chinatown arena to busk in the Lunar New Year festivities. This is the 13th year that SSA has been conducting this annual activity which has brought much joy to the SPD beneficiaries.
It’s the third time that members from the Soka Volunteers Group (SVG) are returning to the familiar faces of residents at the St. Andrew’s Nursing Home (SANH), this time with the objective of bringing joy and warmth through an afternoon of interactive games.
On 25 October, in the spirit of bringing joy to the patients and to enliven their stay in the hospital, five SSA Arts and Culture Groups put up a series of dynamic performance to lift the spirits of the audience.
On 27 September, members from the Soka Volunteers Group (SVG) accompanied senior citizens from SPD@Toa Payoh on a guided tour around the National Museum of Singapore’s Singapore History Gallery, as part of the community integration programme for senior citizens.
With the objective of bringing joy and warmth to our community partners through the Mid-Autumn Festival, Soka Volunteers Group (SVG) members spent a meaningful afternoon interacting with residents from the St. Andrew’s Nursing Home (Henderson) (SANH).
On 31 August, SSA seniors and Soka Volunteers Group members joined Adviser to Tampines GRC, Minister Masagos Zulkifli and senior residents from the Tampines community in the “Food That Binds 2019” project.
On 17 August, SSA General Director Tay Eng Kiat and volunteers from the Soka Volunteers Group (SVG) participated in the SG Cares “Celebrating Our Culture of Care” finale event held at Our Tampines Hub.
On 1 August, volunteers from the Soka Volunteers Group (SVG) accompanied senior citizens from the SPD@Toa Payoh on a guided tour around the Asian Civilisation Museum’s permanent galleries to learn about the rich Asian cultures.
