This year marks the significant 15th anniversary of the naming of the Dendrobium Kaneko Ikeda (DKI) orchid since 27 February 2007.
Held at a special naming ceremony at the Burkill Hall in the National Orchid Garden of Singapore, the DKI orchid was dedicated in honour of Mrs Kaneko Ikeda, Honorary Women Leader of Soka Gakkai International on the occasion of her 75th birthday, and has since been officially registered in the International Orchid Register under the aegis of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in London.
Over the years, the DKI orchid has inspired much joy and hope in Soka women around the world.
