On 31 July, SGS General Director Tay Eng Kiat attended a Community Tree Planting event, jointly organised by National Parks Board, Land Transport Authority and Tampines Group Representation Constituency, for the Silver Zone at Tampines Street 81.
This June, our Soka Volunteers Group re-initiated physical community befriending activities that had halted since the pandemic.
On 1 June, SGS Women Division (WD) collaborated with the Tampines Neighbourhood Police Centre to organise an anti-scam talk for Lily Group members (WD members aged 60 years and above).
On 23 April, members of our Soka Volunteers Group joined other volunteers from the North East Community Development Council at Project Refresh, to declutter, paint and decorate the homes of seniors, just in time for the upcoming Hari Raya festivities, making this Ramadan extra special and meaningful!
With the easing of safe management measures, SGS Soka Ambassador and Soka Volunteers Group members recently reached out to our senior citizens who stayed alone to show our concern and catch up with them.
On 9 April, SGS successfully organised a blood donation drive together with Singapore Red Cross (SRC) at the SGS Headquarters, supported by the Tampines West Community Club.
On the Saturday morning of 19 March, SGS collaborated with People’s Association (PA) on a Learning Journey and hosted 15 WeCare PALs, who are corporate and community partners of PA, at the SGS Headquarters.
Together with the Singapore Red Cross, SGS will be organising a blood donation drive come April 9, 2022.
On 24 September, Soka Kindergarten (SK) and PPIS held an online exchange programme where the young children from both institutions shared their sustainability efforts with one another.
On the Saturday morning of 11 September, SSA Chairperson Mdm Chan Mei Wah was invited as Guest of Honour to witness the graduation of the Chinese Caregivers-To-Caregivers (C2C) Training organised by the Caregivers Alliance Limited (CAL). SSA members comprised close to half of the 30 graduates.
