SSA Participates in ‘Peace & Prosperity Singapura 2019’

On 21 December, SSA participated in the ‘Peace & Prosperity Singapura 2019’ held in commemoration of Singapore’s bicentennial year. This event, organised by Tao One Ltd and various collaborative partners, was a nationwide initiative to celebrate the nation’s peace and prosperity, and aims to foster a deeper appreciation of inter-racial and inter-religious harmony amongst Singaporeans. Minister for Education Mr Ong Ye Kung was the Guest of Honour for the event.

On 15 and 16 February, 240 participants from SSA Regional Headquarters 6 and 8 performed in the Opening Item “Singapore Bicentennial – “Our Past, Present and Future” at the Chingay Parade 2019 that carried the theme “Dreams Funtasia”.

On the second day of the Lunar New Year of February 6, the SSA’s Soka New Century Orchestra (SNCO) and the Soka Chorus performed at the Istana Open House in the presence of President Halimah Yacob and her husband, bringing much festive cheer to the Istana grounds.

Soka Chorus Participates in Lianhe Zaobao’s 95th Anniversary Concert

On September 14 and 15, Soka Chorus participated in a two-day concert titled “The Story of Singapore”, jointly organised by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO), commemorating the 95th> anniversary of Lianhe Zaobao. The concert was held at SCO Concert Hall.
